Three Jamaican Swimmers in Strong Form this Weekend

Dominic Walter, Cameron Chow and Matthew Lyn gave strong swims this weekend for their respective colleges.

Walter posted personal bests in two events in the dual meet between McMaster and SUNY Buffalo and placed fourth, fifth and fourth in the 100 yard freestyle (48.86), 200 yard freestyle (1:59.72), and 1000 yard freestyle (9:59.79), respectively.

In the same meet, Chow picked up a bronze medal in the 100 yard backstroke (53.76), came fourth in the 200 yard backstroke (1:58.82), and finished sixth in the 100 yard butterfly in 54.03. In the 200 yard medley relay, Chow posted a 24.59 for the backstroke leg to start his team off in third place.

Freshman Matthew Lyn, swimming for NYU against University of Rochester, placed third in the 1650 yard freestyle in 16:49.32 and third in the 500 yard freestyle in 4:56.36.
