Bahamian breaststroke standout Dustin Tynes had all top five finishes as his Ohio State Buckeyes easily beat the Division 3 Kenyon Lords 193-98 in their season opener at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion on Friday October 30. Tynes, a sophomore helped the Buckeyes C team 200 yard medley relay team to third spot in a time of 1:33.64.
He finished third in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 56.90. The Nassau native is the seventh fastest Buckeye of all time with a time of 55.44. In the 200 yard breaststroke he stopped the clock in 2:05.83 to place fourth overall. Tynes is the sixth fastest of all time in this event with a clocking of 2:00.28.
Tynes who is one of the best breaststrokers from the CARIFTA enjoyed a good summer where he lowered the 50, 100 and 200 metre breaststroke national records to 28.55, 1:02.49 and 2:18.55 respectively
