Jamaican sprinter Justin Plaschka was unbeaten in all his three races as Notre Dame defeated Michigan State 174 to 69 on Friday. The Fighting Irish sophomore Plaschka had victories in the 400 yard medley relay, 50 yard freestyle and the 200 yard freestyle relay.
In the 400 yard medley relay Plaschka recorded the fastest 100 yard butterfly split with a time of 48.43 as Notre Dame took the event in 3:19.74. They beat the B team for the win by more than two seconds
In his lone individual event Plaschka clocked 20.51 to win the 50 yard freestyle convincingly as team mate Daniel Speers was runner up in 20.94.
Plaschka ended the meet clocking 21.82 to help his A team to a total time of 1:21.92 in the 200 yard freestyle. The margin of victory was more than two seconds.
