Bahamian sophomore Dustin Tynes won the 100 yard breaststroke as his Ohio State Buckeyes beat Denison University in both men and women’s action on Friday November 6 in Columbus Ohio. Tynes won the 100 yard breaststroke in 57.10. His Buckeyes B team finished second in the 400 yard medley relay in 3:21.16.Tynes split 55.94 for his breaststroke leg. He competed as an exhibition swimmer in the 200 breaststroke clocking 2:05.91.That time was the second fastest of the meet.
Bermudan senior Ashley Yearwood recorded season bests in the 100 yard backstroke and freestyle. Yearwood competing for Denison clocked 58.57 to finish second in the backstroke event. She was eighth in the freestyle in 53.87.
Her Big Red 400 medley relay B team finished sixth in 4:03.51.Yearwood lead off the team with a backstroke split of 59.51. Her B team in the 200 yard freestyle relay clocked 1:38.74.Yearwood again started the relay registering a split of 24.71.
Ohio State beat Denison Men 174 to 112.Yearwood’s Big Red went down 85.5 to 210.5.
