CARIFTA REGION JUNIOR SWIMMERS FEATURE IN MEDLEY RELAY ACTION ON DAY ONE OF 2015 SPEEDO WINTER JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS EAST

The 2015 SPEEDO Winter Junior Championships East splashed off yesterday at the Georgia Tech McCauley Aquatic Center in Atlanta Georgia. The meet being contested in yards saw a number of the CARIFTA region junior swimmers representing their teams in the 200 yard medley relays.

Bahamian Gershwin Greene’s Baylor A team was the fastest of those with CARIFTA region members. His A team clocked 1:32.98 for 14th  with Greene timed at 20.53 for his freestyle leg.

Suriname’s Raiz Tjon A Joe clocked 26.35 for his breaststroke leg as Azura A finished 17th in1:33.13.

The Saint Andrews duo of Jamaica’s Jesse Marsh and Izaak Bastian of Bahamas helped the A team to 21st in 1:33.62. Marsh put up 23.98 for his butterfly leg while Bastian’s breaststroke leg was clocked at 25.80.

Aruba’s Patrick Groters produced a 22.79 butterfly leg for Pine Crest Swimming A. They finished 29th in 1:35.10.
