Dartmouth senior Jamaican Kendese Nangle recorded a season best in her school’s opening dual meet for 2016 again Yale and Penn in Philadelphia on Saturday January 9.
Kendese lowered her time in the 200 yard backstroke from 2:13.46 to 2:10.12 and placed 11th overall. Nangle is also the senior national record holder in the 200 metre backstroke.
She was the highest placed swimmer from the Big Green in the 100 yard backstroke when she finished 5th in a time of 57.99.The former Campion College student was also the school’s standard bearer in the 50 yard freestyle where she placed 4th in 24.41. Her Big Green A team were also 4th in the 200 yard medley relay. The team clocked a time of 1:48.81 with Nangle posting a backstroke split of 27.35.
The Big Green went down 66 to 234 to Penn. The final result against Yale had Dartmouth tallying 51 points while Yale racked up 249 points.
