BAHAMIAN RECORD HOLDER DUTIN TYNES HAS TWO 3RD PLACE FINISHES AS OHIO STATE BEATS MICHIGAN STATE

The Ohio State Buckeyes welcomed Michigan State for a dual meet on Saturday January 16, 2016. Competing for the Buckeyes was Bahamian senior national record holder in the breaststroke events Dustin Tynes.

Tynes would have two top 3 finishes on the day. The sophomore would finish 3rd in the 200 yard breaststroke in a time of 2:08.56. The event was won by team mate Daniel MacDonald in a time of 2:03.77.His Buckeyes B team would finish 3rd in the 200 yard medley relay. The team of Mark Belanger, Tynes, Peter Lyon and Nathan Christian would touch the wall in a time of 1:31.93. Dustin’s breaststroke split was 25.78. In the 100 yard breaststroke Dustin placed 7th in 59.18.
The Buckeyes would prevail over Michigan State 186 to 101.
