Sophomore Kohen Kerr worked his way to the top of the podium twice as his West Virginia Institute of Technology defeated Lindsey Wilson College on the road. The teams raced each on October 15 at the Holloway Center Natatorium in Columbia, Kentucky.


Kohen helped to set the tone for the meet in the very first event the 400 yard medley relay. The Golden Bears A team of Arthur Bertrand (backstroke), Paulo Dias (breaststroke) Geoffroy Gauneau (butterfly) and Kerr (freestyle) won in 3:33.49. The Lindsey Wilson A team finished 2nd in a time of 3:35.36.

Kohen got his first individual win of the season when he won the 50 yard freestyle in a time of 21.98.Teammate Dias finished 2nd in 22.44.

He improved upon his 100 yard breaststroke time when he clocked 1:03.55 for 3rd. That bettered his season opener of 1:04.09.  The Golden Bears won the contest 124 to 81.
