Jamaican sophomore Justin Plaschka had six top three finishes for Notre Dame as they travelled on the road to face Virginia Tech and Pittsburgh
The two day meet held in Christiansburg Virginia from November 6 to 7 saw Plaschka still unbeaten after two starts in the 50 yard freestyle. He won his latest splash and dash event in 20.68. He would journey to the top of the podium again in the 400 yard freestyle relay as Notre Dame A won the event in 3:00.85.He contributed to the win by posting the fastest split of the relays with his second leg effort of 44.73
His Fighting Irish A team finished runner up in the 200 yard medley relay in a time of 1:31.88.He had the second fastest butterfly leg with a 21.68 effort. The A team in the longer 400 yard medley relay also finished second .That team posted an overall time of 3:21.62. He had the fastest butterfly leg timed at 48.38.The A team finished second in the 200 yard freestyle relay in 1:22.63.Plaschka lead off the team in 20.84.
He would finish third in the 100 yard butterfly in 49.17 and fourth in the 100 yard freestyle in 45.86.
Notre Dame would beat Pittsburgh 214 to 150 but lost to Virginia Tech 131 to 237.
